  • In an IFS session, I will guide you to healing through your internal world. Many clients close their eyes since it helps them focus more internally. As I give you different prompts, your answers will let me know how to best guide you next. You do not need to know what to do. You cannot do IFS wrong. Your only job is to observe your internal world and let me know what you observe. If done well, IFS is a pleasant experience where you can grow in self-knowledge and feel peace.

  • At Inner Freedom Psychotherapy, I supplement Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy with spiritual resourcing for clients who desire it. The Catholic faith can imbue treatment. We can invite the presence of spiritual figures (i.e, Jesus Christ, the Blessed Virgin Mary, St. Michael…etc) to be with you. Additionally, during silent times in therapy sessions when you are looking internally, I often quietly pray for my clients. If you have more questions, please ask during the phone consultation.

  • In addition to IFS, I use Feedback Informed Treatment (FIT), an evidenced-based practice, based on scientific research, clinical expertise, and client values. I use FIT with clients who see the value in tracking their progress and tracking the therapeutic relationship. By doing this, we can better determine how well therapy is going for you and if some shifts can be made to improve your treatment. FIT helps me tailor treatment to you.

  • As an evidence-based psychotherapy, IFS is validated by empirical research. Combining IFS with FIT, an evidenced-based practice, the evidence of your success will be graphed. Although I cannot guarantee results or tell you exactly how many sessions therapy will take, many clients I have worked with see improvements within 3-6 sessions. If we are not noticing improvements by the 6th session, we will reevaluate and replan so that improvement may occur.

  • Absolutely! I have worked extensively with non-Catholic clients. Schedule a consultation for more information.
